Tommy Lopez, one of Walker's students, and his mother, Marta opens a restaurant. Walker and the others attend the opening. Marta's husband, Joe who's a safe cracker who was imprisoned before Tommy was born and was recently paroled shows up. Marta introduces him to Tommy who doesn't want anything to do with him. She offers Joe a job and a place to stay. He accepts the former but turns down the latter because he has to stay at the half way house. Walker in the meantime, is looking for a crew of robbers. What he doesn't know is that they are paroled convicts and are also staying at the same half way house as Joe. And they approach him to do a job. Joe Lopez is a paroled convict wanting to stay clean and mend his relationship with his family. Unfortunately he is being pressured to use his safecracking skills to help a gang pull a job. He enlists the help of Walker to go undercover in an effort to nail the gang.
